本展のタイトル「something about a room not having a floor」は、ゲレット・バージェスの戯れ歌『The Floorless Room』から着想を得ている。韻を踏んだ五行詩にでてくる「床がない」「部屋」という言葉からイメージを膨らませ、それらを社会やその基盤に見立てた個々の作品を中庭を持つ回廊型のギャラリー内に配置していくことで空間全体を構築していく。
The title for this exhibition, “something about a room not having a foor,” is an idea gotten from a limerick “The Floorless Room” by Gelett Burgess. Likening ‘room’ and ‘floor’ to the society and its foundation, an installation was represented utilizing the gallery space that has a courtyard.
