麻布に阿波藍（叢雲絞り）で染めた支持体に、金泥で描かれた文字群。
読めそうで読めないテキストは、『琉球國由来記』、『中山世鑑』、、琉球の開闢神アマミキヨの伝承、『古事記』の海神の宮訪問、各地に残る浦島の伽話などを参照しながら作家が書き起こした琉球、龍宮、海神についてのテキストが断片的に配置されています。
見ることと読むことの間で、阿波藍と金泥で構成された地と図が反転する関係性は、現代社会にかろうじて残る海神（わたつみ）の痕跡、海の恵みと人の営みを暗示しています。

On a hemp cloth dyed with Awa indigo using the Murakumo shibori technique, a series of characters are painted in gold pigment. The text appears legible at first glance but resists full comprehension. Drawing on sources such as Ryūkyū-koku Yuraiki, Chūzan Seikan, the sea god’s palace visit in the Kojiki, and various regional Urashima legends, the artist has crafted a fragmented narrative of Ryukyu, Ryūgū, and the sea god.
Suspended between seeing and reading, the interplay of indigo and gold creates a reversible visual relationship, hinting at the faint traces of the Sea Spirit (Watatsumi) that persist in contemporary life, as well as the gifts of the ocean and human engagement with it.
